From January 6th - 19th I will be Guest Professor (in Luis Afonso Montanha’s class) and Performer at the 14th Edition of the ‘Festival Nas Montanhas’ in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, Brasil.
This huge summer festival attracts large groups of young, talented players and enables them to take part in private lessons, masterclasses, workshops, chamber music, wind band and symphony orchestra.
The ‘other half’ of Duo Hevans - saxophonist Eleri Ann Evans - will be in charge of the saxophone class at the Festival and is featured at the opening concert of the Festival in Dave Heath’s ‘Out of the Cool’ - with me playing bass clarinet in the Orchestra.
During the Festival we will also do a RICO reed (power point) presentation for all single reed participants.
Thank you, Jean Reis, for organizing this prestigious Festival for the 14th time in succession!

Last, but not least...I am very excited to announce that my new CD will see the light of day very soon.
‘Multitasking’ (Shoepair label) will combine unique studio recordings with rare live performances of pieces for unusual instrumental combinations, works with live electronics/pre-recorded electronics, improvisations and own compositions.
I collaborated with fantastic colleagues such as Eleri Ann Evans, Mike Garson, Gijs Hendriks, Willem Tanke and René Uijlenhoet.
Mastering is by Leo de Klerk/Bloomline Studio; PrintPrint will do the art work.
I will give you an update shortly, including information about all featured composers.
