Miny Dekkers Miny Dekkers received her musical training at the Amsterdam Music School. She is a member of several chamber music ensembles such as DC + M² and the trio Le Chaval. She frequently gives recitals and concerts in her native country Holland as well as in France, Finland and Canada, participates in film and theatre productions, and plays regularly accordion parts with among others the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. Dekkers is a pioneer in the development of new literature for the accordion
as solo instrument and in chamber music. Many composers have dedicated
new works to her. She is a teacher at the Conservatories of Arnhem, Zwolle
and Rotterdam, and co-organiser of the prestigious International Accordion
Week in the Amsterdam IJsbreker
(1990 and 1995).
